Every time we visit Kenya it is more and more visible how the economy is growing, for example in Nairobi where the infrastructure and constructions are growing fast.
Our last trip in February 2020, we sat down with a lot of our partners. Local entrepreneurs, the government, advisors, the Dutch embassy, soil-scientists and Dutch NGO's. Together we spoke about supply chain, logistics and transportation, which are important components for our kickoff.
In the same week we spoke with a big local farmer of mangos and avocados, who is a former banker. During our conversation she mentioned that she cannot wait to start using GROOOW. The main reason? Because GROOOW helps young trees to root and grow well, which results in crops to grow faster and more crops can be successfully harvest. We had a really nice conversation about her business and our product, in which she sees a lot of benefits.
Over the past two years we saw big changes happening in Kenya. Also in the agriculture, which is now already contributing for 33% to the GDP in Kenya. For the total agricomplex this number is even around 50%. There are a lot of opportunities, because the water shortage is a big problem in a lot of areas in Kenya. GROOOW has a solution for this problem, by using underground waterstorage and aeration of the soil.
