The next step in smart agri solutions

W.A.D. Global is taking a step towards better and healthier agricultural land. Regionally and overall, within ecosystems and across value chains. Local yields will increase, with higher productivity per square metre. W.A.D. Global is focused on the 500 to 600 million small and large(r) farmers and their families, helping them to take small steps towards increased self-sufficiency through higher productivity. That first step will be made in Kenya and dry areas in Europe. Activities will start in the Netherlands at the same time, aimed at market gardeners, with a focus on growing crops in sandy soils at lower cost and using less water.

During the potato pilot on the open field, we are researching four questions/statements, which we formulated together with Waterschap Limburg: What does GROOOW with the water...

"Shortage of water is a big issue in Kenya, GROOOW is the solution! Retaining water is essential for growing food crops in the dryer areas of Kenya. With GROOOW the farmer can schedule when they want to go to the market, this way they can go at the most profitable time. This product and business concept is very promising and the first results are impressive. GROOOW has a great potential of derisking the influence of climate change"
